In a perfect example of the terrible state of Ufology in the world today, I received the following story today via email from a friend. The story comes from Brazilian Ufologist Pepe Chaves, who deserves a medal of Valor and Honor for his relentless efforts to bring Truth and Honor back to a field that’s overrun by charlatans and con-artists.

The following article was writting by Pepe, however I have taken the liberty of re-editing the article for our American readers. Pepe did a wonderful job with the article, but English is not his first language, so some of the passages are not as clear as they could have been. Pepe, if you are reading this, I hope you do not mind. Again - very much respect for your excellent and ethical work, and good job to your fellow researchers for exposing this fraudster to the world.

The hoax of a UFO crash in the Netherlands is revealed by Brazilians and Portuguese researchers.

By Pepe Chaves to UFOVIA – Brazil
Edited by Ryan Dube of RealityUncovered.net for U.S. Readers

The lies propagated by alleged Portuguese ufologists Nuno Alves did not take very long to be uncovered. After Alves published his fraudulent story in UFOVIA’s website, with the title, “Dutch Operation-Saucer? When?”, this author and other Portuguese ufologists conducted a search for evidence of the alleged “UFO fall of the Netherlands.” Mr. Nuno Alves made a report in his home country, and also wrote on Internet lists and on his blog, that a UFO crashed in Holland in the 70’s, in the city of Alemere Stat to be precise. He claimed that evidence was an art object of a flying saucer crashed into the ground.

Posing beside this monument as a “researcher,” Mr. Aleves wrote that it had been created in the city of Almere Stad, as an allusion to the history fall of a flying saucer in this city long ago. Our efforts eventually proved that the story was invented by the brilliant mind of Mr. Alves himself, seeking recognition and fame within the ufological community.

The lie provided Aleves a photo opportunity that made the cover of the U.S. publication UFO Magazine, showing Aleves standing beside the monument of a UFO, in Almere Stad. UFO Magazine failed to even quote the name of the creator of the artistic monument.

The artist is Thom Puckey. He reported to us, via e-mail, that his work “Fallen” has nothing whatsoever to do with UFO crashes in the Netherlands, but instead that the monument was ordered by an educational institution, located within that city. Puckey advised us to ignore any story involving a UFO fall in the Netherlands related to the monument, and stated that the artistic work represents “the art falling from the sky,” as shown in other examples of the artwork here.

Mr. Nuno Alves fabricated a fictional ex-military character named Ivanderlan, who was allegedly the source of his information. Mr. Nuno Alves himself created the UFO story, where the former dutch military, he claimed, reported that he was witness to the crash and the resulting rescue of an alien spaceship in Alemere Stad. On that basis, Alves proceeded with enough illusion and lies, with a story that deceived, for a short time, many people around the world.

Moreover, when the hoax was finally discovered and we revealed publicly, Nuno Alves’ response was not to protest the claims and proof that we presented, instead he proceeded to personally attack us. In fact, his new buddy, A. J. Gevaerd, the editor of the UFO Magazine in Brazil, joined him in those attacks. A.J. Gevaerd is responsible for providing opportunity for attacks and aggression from the entire ufological gang who believed the story. Through the use of Yahoo Groups, they both denigrated us publicly. When they were excessive with their attacks, Ademar Jose Gevaerd and Nuno Alves were formally reported to police in the city of Belo Horizonte. We reported Nuno Alves to Interpol, while we reported Gevaerd’s attacks to the department of electronic crime and digital fraud.

Meanwhile, Mr. Paulo Rogerio Poain, one of the UFO Groupies who coordinated the attacks with Mr. Gevaerd, was also reported in the same police precinct. All were charged with “Libel, defamation and injury.”

The Netherland UFO Plot Falls Apart - UFO Magazine is Shamed

Regarding what Nuno Alves reported regarding the fall of a UFO in the Netherlands, we were not the only ones who noticed the story and denounced the fraud publicly and how it stained the credibility of ufology all over the world. The moment we publicly revealed the Nuno Alves’ fraud, other researchers in Portugal also decided to research the subject further, primarily the UFO research organization, APO.

Regarding what Nuno Alves says regarding the fall of a UFO in Netherlands, we were not the only ones to noticed it and to denounced publicly the fraud and the lie that stains the seriousness of ufology all over the world. The moment we shown to the public those claims about Nuno Alves frauds, in Portugal other persons decided to research the subject in the Internet, most of all some members from the UFO research association (APO) www.apovni.org.

None of the researchers in Portugal were able to obtain a single piece of evidence, or even a single clue, that a UFO had ever crashed in the Netherlands. In addition to conducting a complete Internet search, some members of APO decided to contact persons and other ufologists living within that country regarding the alleged fall of a flying saucer reported by Mr. Nuno Alves. Searching Dutch browsers and talking to Dutch researchers, no one was able to identify anything regarding any story related to the story Nuno Alves had told.

Some background: Earlier, Portuguese researchers had questioned Mr. Nuno Alves about his allegations regarding the Dutch case, which were either posted in his own blog or in APO’s forum. Mr. Alves refused to reply to a number of questions placed by APO members. Feeling trapped, Mr. Alves quickly and rudely walked away from the discussion. Many who witnessed the questioning, and his departure, considered his behavior as “highly suspicious,” because in addition to turning his back on the forum, Mr. Nuno wrote in a short message that the questioners suffered from a “lack of ethics” and were overly skeptical.

The UFO Working Group in the Netherlands later reported that, “To our knowledge, there was no rumour, workshop, television or radio program about the crash of a flying saucer type object in the territory of the Netherlands in the past years. There may of course be individuals spreading such rumours, but we don’t know them. Neither do we know na ex-officer of the Dutch army making such claims.

To be more specific: As far as we know, there has never been a confirmed crash of an extraterrestrial spaceship in the Almere Stad region or elsewhere in the Netherlands.”

Here in Brazil, we know such hoaxers very well! They sacrifice the credibility and seriousness of Ufology in favor of their own names, seeking out a profile of “serious investigator,” like some sort of fifth category X-Files.

The Nuno Alves Netherland UFO Fraud Continues

It is nice to see that in Portungal, some people connected to Ufology realize who Mr. Nuno Alves really is, and what he is capable of doing in order to maintain and sustain his Dutch lie. Meanwhile, in Brazil, some poor blokes are still being deceived by him, thanks to his “power of persuasion” and his self-portrayal of being victimized throughout his dissumulations. This is how he attempts to hide his ocean of deception. This man hides behind the curtains of his own theatre.

Below, we publish just a few of the questions and inquires by the researchers and sympathizers of APO from Portugal, which were directed toward Mr. Nuno Alves. Actually, these interventions by attentive Portuguese represent beautiful, healthy, reflective and respectable investigative work, footed in logic and good sense. It’s worthy to say that this work was brought to light spontaneously by the questions and comments of the members of APO in an Internet forum. For ethical reasons, we’ve hidden the name of these respectable researchers in the following texts.

It is also worthy to point out that another piece of evidence that Mr. Nuno Alves is nothing but an “aberration of Portuguese Ufology made in Brazil,” can be seen in the following texts, not only because of his childish and deplorable comments, but also for his terribly written Portuguese. Regarding grammar, it’s simple enough to see when you compare his way of writing compared to one of his fellow citizens who are contesting him.

Finally, I will also finish my work on this case, because it was never a case to begin with, and there is no way to “prove the unprovable.” I present my most sincere thanks to the attentive members of APO, to their coordinators and to all the Brazilians and Portuguese that took good care of this subject and my person, with all of the respect and courage to seek out the truth in Nuno’s ultimately confirmed fraud, his double virtual personality, and his crimes which we’ve reported to the Interpol.

Portuguese researchers don’t need to be ashamed because of one or another bad element staining the honor of their country or their Ufology - here in Brazil, we also have others even worse.
