starpod1Over the last few years, if you’ve followed along with the latest events and rumors floating around Ufology, you’ve probably heard of MJ-12. If you haven’t, make sure to catch up on the distribution of those documents through the background provided at RU. One of the most important things about those 1980’s events is the fact that they haven’t slowed down. The same meme’s, and the same personalities who surround them, keep surfacing again and again - most recently in the form of “Serpo” in 2005.

From 2005 and beyond, RealityUncovered gradually revealed the folks who were not only the closest to the source of distribution during the Serpo events, but also during MJ-12 and the Bill Moore fiasco that is now Ufology folklore. As a result of that “outing,” many people have interviewed each of the particular players - Kit Green, Hal Puthoff, Rick Doty - and in our case (RU) we actually went further and interviewed or looked into the backgrounds of some of the individuals more deeply involved in the development of some of the early memes, such as Ernie Kellerstrass and Dale Graff.

Many people have developed their own theories regarding the motives and the truth behind the actions of these individuals and the stories and legends that have been produced and distributed to Ufology through the years, and one of those individuals is Gary Bekkum.

Who is Gary Bekkum?

Kit Green has described the core story as being the “central” truth of the UFO phenomenon that he, Hal Puthoff and Jacques Vallee were able to agree upon back in 1983, only a few years before both Kit and Hal were to retire from full-time government work (or contract work, in the case of Hal). Kit has never shared what that agreement was, other than hinting subtly to Caryn Anscomb that it had to do with Alien contact of some form.

However, Kit has also said that he has only believed in a small percentage of that “Core Story,” and that the percentage changes constantly - from 10% to 50% - as current events change his mind and as new information arises.

Gary Bekkum has stipulated often, on his blog, about a “Core Story” - but the Core Story Bekkum focuses on is more broad. It isn’t the same as the one these three men agreed upon - instead it’s one that Gary believes the Government is focused on based upon their past research on Remote Viewing, as portrayed by the many documents from the FOIA Stargate Files Gary has accumulated through the years.

I’ve personally had many disagreements with Gary throughout the years. Most significantly, my “beef” with him has always been his tendency to draw loose conclusions from those heavily redacted documents, ignoring the mountain of documents that prove that MJ-12 was not a government operation - but instead a private scam run by con artists. In fact, during MJ-12 events, many government agencies, such as the FBI, were confused by the sporadic reports coming in from public sources about those documents.

Gary Bekkum Prepares to Lay Out His Theory

In his blog entry on January 14, 2010, Gary stands up and essentially “clears his voice” as he prepares to lay out his case for what he believes lies at the heart of the “Core Story” as he writes:

“A great deal has been written about the legends, but I am interested in the core itself.

Given a handful of clues, a few good tales, some very bad science fiction, and the occasional fact and rumor, we will soon begin to enter the door to the dark secret.”

A promising part of Gary’s post is that he admits that there’s no solid evidence to support drawing any conclusions, as he writes:

According to sources, who remain unidentified to protect their relationship to the government, there have been three visitations from beyond the Earth, known to an elite group of government officials.

Three years have been given: 1947, 1983, and 1992.

And, as with all things associated with this story, there is absolutely no confirming evidence.”

This statement speaks highly of Gary - is acceptance that there’s little verifiable evidence to draw conclusions. However, the importance of this core meme is not lost on Gary. He has interviewed enough of these characters to understand that they were not only up to something strange and surreal back in the 1970s and 1980s (as detailed in the Stargate documents), but it appears they are still involved in strange and surreal activities.

Regardless of our past disagreements - I urge all readers to follow along as Gary reveals his own analysis of the surroundings as we pass through, as he describes it, the “door to the dark secret.”

While he may speculate and reach, and in some cases he may fall down a rabbit hole in his pontificating - one truth remains, and it is this. Gary has been wading in these waters for decades - almost as long as the principle players themselves. While we may disagree on the accuracy of some of his speculations - they remain just that, speculations. And the conversations he has had with certain individuals makes the information Gary offers extremely valuable in it’s own right.

I, for one, look forward to Gary Bekkum’s take on the Core Story, and I urge everyone to follow along - it should be fairly interesting.
