obama warsBob Woodward, an American Journalist for the Washington Post, is best known for his investigative reporting during the Watergate Scandal. It was these reports that led to the massive investigations into the affair.

Woodward is also responsible for such books as State of Denial and The War Within and it seems that Woodward is at it again.

In his recent book, Obama Wars, Woodward explains the issues President Obama must not only deal with in Afghanistan, but also within his own administration.

However, this book does anything but sing the Obama administration?s praises. It is one of those pieces that drops a variety of bombs that will keep the reader engaged and asking certain questions. These questions will be the sort that the present administration will be less inclined to answer.

One of the bombs dropped in Obama Wars, is the fact that the CIA is not only funding, but also training several Afghan Special Forces Teams that will be responsible for capturing and even killing Al Qaeda members, especially senior level members of the terrorist group. This may have a familiar ring to it. This sounds very familiar to the Bush-Reagan Administrations? support of Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War.

Back then, the Bush administration was quite uncomfortable with responding to Ted Koppels? statement, "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush, operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980s, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq," Now, the Obama administration will have to face the same uncomfortable questions.

However, this is not the only bomb dropped in Bob Woodwards' book Obama Wars. From Joe Biden?s distaste for Richard Halbrooke to General Petraeus viewing the White House as a distraction in the war effort, Woodward definitely follows in his own footsteps in completing a book that is sure to raise some eyebrows and some questions.
