Ben Norris is a freelance writer and independent journalist from Phoenix, Arizona. He spent more than five years working in newsrooms at papers like the Arizona Daily Sun and Maricopa Monitor before working as a writer, editor and producer for Westwood One’s news radio wire service.
Ben was an Arizona Press Club scholar in 2006 and studied journalism and political science at Northern Arizona University.
Today, Ben focuses on his online writing, particularly in the areas of politics and human rights. When he’s not writing, Ben is a musician, vegetarian and Nintendo Wii enthusiast.
