As we approach the end of 2013 and another new year is upon us, it’s time to take stock of what we’ve accomplished here at Top Secret Writers, and where we’re headed into the future. Of course, when you run a website like Top Secret Writers, most of what you’ve accomplished amounts to what your readers have accomplished for you. We now have thousands of visitors every day. Readers are now commenting daily, frequently, with passion and with strong opinions (which is fantastic!). Readers are sharing our stories on Facebook and Twitter, and they’re sharing our articles on other websites and forums. Most importantly, our readers are making the stories that we write about relevant in the mainstream. We often lament the failures of mainstream media, but that same media still controls the beliefs of the majority of the population. Therefore, getting mentioned in the media is important when you want to get your message in front of that mainstream audience. Through our adherence to strict citation guidelines (always citing credible sources when any claims are made), listening to and responding to our readers whether they agree with a piece or not, and working hard to fully research each story we publish – we are reaching the goal of getting mentioned in the mainstream media far more often than ever before. To celebrate the approach of the end of the year, and our approaching 30,000 fans on Facebook – we are launching a YouTube “shout out” competition. All you have to do is create a YouTube video giving Top Secret Writers a shout out – and you’ll be entered into a drawing to receive a free Top Secret Writer’s T-shirt, as well as a $50 shopping splurge on Amazon! Whether or not it was their intention to set fire to the former plantation home, the police arrested a group of self-proclaimed amateur ghost hunters. The LeBeau Plantation House in New Orleans didn’t take long to burn to the ground. The seven men (ages 17 – 31) were charged with “arson, simple burglary, trespassing and criminal damage worth more than $50,000”. By the time the fire department arrived, there was no saving the 1850s plantation mansion rumored to be haunted. The home had been many things since construction was completed in 1854, including a boarding house and later a hotel. It was even used as an illegal gambling house at one point in its long history. Boarded up, the house was protected by an eight foot fence that encased the property and bore many no trespassing warning signs in an attempt of discouraging curiosity seekers and even supposed ghost hunters. Owned by the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation, known as the Meraux Foundation, the charity organization had just begun its plans to renovate the home and bring it back to its former grandeur. The group of careless trespassers put an end to those dreams when they set the house on fire in the early morning hours of November 21, 2013. It was reported by several news media that the men had grown frustrated in their short-lived investigation and hoped to incite the spirits with the threat of torching the mansion. Such tactics as of antagonizing ghosts is commonly shown on various ghost hunter TV shows.
To paraphrase an old public service announcement, do you know where your data is? With the popularity of cloud services such as iCloud, Google Drive, Amazon CloudDrive, and Dropbox on the rise, it is quite difficult to pinpoint where our data is located at any given time. Moreover, it seems that cloud services are common targets of hackers to attempt to gain personal information. These hackers could be individuals or government agencies, in particular, China. In a recent report, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission warned congress that the Chinese government could target American citizens and businesses that utilize cloud services.

“One second at a time…just get through one thing at a time…” Tami opened her eyes. She was below deck in the disheveled boat that, she saw, had taken on three feet of water. She remembered the sea had been rough, but now it was dead calm. She felt her head and looked at the blood she found. Finding her way up to the open air, she looked up at a broad sky above her. Something wasn’t right. What was it? The sky. It was too broad. There was no sail in her vision. She focused, trying to clear her head; there was no mainmast. Tami looked around. There was no Richard. Only his safety line remained, severed, one end drifting aimlessly in the water. She was alone.
Companies and governments spend billions of dollars a year on stealth technologies. From that research, technologies such as electronic stealth tanks and infrared invisibility cloaks are derived. However, South Korea is taking stealth technology to the next level by planning a tower that will be 1,476 feet tall (sixth tallest in the world) and invisible! However, many are wondering if the invisible skyscraper, known as the Infinity Tower, will even be possible to construct. Oddly enough, the answer is “yes” and the technique is surprisingly simple.
History is filled with tales from around the world of people having sightings and encounters with unusual creatures and beings that are believed to be supernatural. Could these tales actually be true? Angel Appearances The Bible explains that angels were God’s messengers. They delivered warnings, blessings and prophecies. They are lesser beings than God, but greater than humans. Yet they don’t possess a soul and can never become one with God the way a human can. Guardian angels protect humans throughout their lives, but fallen angels rebelled against God and were cast out of heaven with their leader, Lucifer. –> Angels are often credited with miracles. Bruce Van Natta claims he was saved by two angels when a truck he was working under slipped off the jack and the 10,000 pound truck axel crushed him. (1) –> Retired FBI agent Lillie Leonardi arrived at the Flight 93 crash site in Pennsylvania on 9/11/01 and was shocked to find a field of angels standing watch over the wreckage. It took her 10 years to tell her story in a book, In the Shadow of a Badge: A Spiritual Memoir. (2) Black-Eyed Kids The Internet has sizzled for years with various accounts of these inhuman black-eyed kids. In 2011, a short film, Black-Eyed Children was released followed in 2012, by a Canadian feature film, Black Eyed Kids. Typically, there are two kids (often two boys) who approach an adult. The children are insistent that the person allow them inside the house to use the bathroom or phone. Many kids claim they’re lost. Several report being approached while getting in or out of their cars. Whatever the excuse, it seems that the adult must consent to the request before the kids can take any kind of action. Their all black eyes startle and [...]
Cockroaches are over 358.9 million years old and seem to be impervious to many of the natural and manmade threats that have long wiped out other insects for the Carboniferous Period and all the ones that followed. (1) The cockroach is one insect that somehow learned to adapt and change in order to survive hundreds of millions of years of earth evolution. A cockroach can even survive nuclear effects. This quality that makes it such a formidable pest may also be what makes it what many are calling a miracle cure for a wide range of illnesses and diseases. (2) Traditional Chinese Medicine has incorporated the healing properties of cockroaches for thousands of years. The Chinese also adopted it and other insects into their culinary storehouses. High in protein, insects are a cheap food source for many countries. With an aging population, the medicinal value of cockroaches is being exploited in an attempt to cure many illnesses often associated with aging. In fact, five Chinese pharmaceutical companies have upped their game increasing the demand for these specific cockroaches and created a new industry – Cockroach farms. According to Pharma Daily, these companies produce Traditional Chinese Medicine, but don’t always reveal the “secret ingredient” to consumers. The pulverized cockroaches can also be found in vitamin supplements. (3) Some illnesses and diseases cockroaches are used to treat: –> AIDS –> Baldness –> Blood clots –> Cancer –> Gastroenteritis –> Heart disease –> Bone Tuberculosis According to the South Korean’s Jeonnam Province Agricultural Research Institute and China’s Dali University College of Pharmacy, research has revealed that cockroaches have “anti-carcinogenic properties”. Across the globe, people report hearing strange, unexplainable sounds. A perfect example of this element is the numerous sounds heard across Canada.
In a video published to YouTube on September 29th by a user named NEO2012anonymous, the group Anonymous announced that it would be staging a march on November 5th, 2013. In the video, a digitized voice requests anyone of any political affiliation to grab their mask and join the ranks, because, “…in the end, isn’t it just us peasants against the monarchs?” From the YouTube video page there is a link to the event website, the MillionMaskMarch.org. The website claims that there are a total of 430 locations planned for the march, and the entire global event has no central person or group in charge of it – which is the MO of Anonymous. (1) The center of the web page features an inspiring video for the theme song of the March, “We’re Gonna Trip the Light”, with an announcement underneath the video that there is an “Open Mic and Dance Party” planned at the Washington Monument.
